Spiritual Direction

A sacred space for exploring, nurturing, and deepening your relationship with the Triune God.

What is Spiritual Direction?

In Spiritual Direction we set apart time to slow down and “hold space” to attune to and be present in relationship with the Triune God. Distinct from counseling or confession, the spiritual director’s role is to remain attentive to the Spirit of God on your behalf—to help you notice the presence and call of God in the circumstances of everyday life.

“The whole purpose of spiritual direction is to penetrate beneath the surface of a man’s life, to get behind the facade of conventional gestures and attitudes which he presents to the world, and to bring out his inner spiritual freedom, his inmost truth, which is what we call the likeness of Christ in his soul.” —Thomas Merton
