2023 Redeemer Womens Retreat

December 1st- 3rd, at Black Mountain Home for Children Retreat Center.

God came down from heaven to dwell in a body among us - to be with us. Join the Redeemer Women as we have a retreat focusing on how Christ meets us in our own body. Read more about this retreat and sign up below.

Meet Our Session Leaders:

We will have three main lessons and two opportunities for break out sessions.

Teresa Glenn will lead us through our first two topics; “Christ in Your Body” and “Christ in Your Story”.

Bethany Hebbard will lead us through the third lesson; “Hospitality and the Body”, and will also be teaching a breakout session on, “Creating a Rule of Life.”

“For as the body is clad in the cloth,

and the flesh in the skin

and the bones in the flesh,

and the heart in the whole.

So are we, soul and body,

clad in the Goodness of God,

and enclosed. - Julian of Norwich

The Sessions

  • Holy Spirit

    Christ In Our Body

We live in a broken world and are inundated with cultural and spiritual expectations to just be strong and push our bodies harder. Join us as we learn how Christ longs to be compassionate toward our bodies and as we learn to do the same.

  • Christ In Our Story

Your story is important - how you came to be at Redeemer and how your story will continue as a part of our church community. Join us as we share a weekend together experiencing Christ through great food, crafts, and conversations about the embodiment of Christ.

  • Hospitality & the Body

Hospitality is one of the core values of Redeemer and we want to honor God and the work he is doing at Redeemer. Come learn how being hospitable is a physical act of worship and how it starts in our own body.

The Breakout Sessions:

  • Creating A Rule of Life

Come learn how to create a rhythm for prayer throughout your day.

  • Breathwork, Grounding, & Postures

Come learn how simple postures and your breath can be prayer throughout your day.
